The name SPR Maine comes from my street name “Maine” and me legally turning my neighborhood's name “Sobrante Park” into a record label. The merger of SPR & Maine is a strategic way to promote and brand the label.

 I was born and raised in Oakland California,

 and grew up a huge fan of hip-hop & R&B music of the 80s 90s & early 2000s. I began rapping around the age of 7 and was performing on stage by my 5th grade graduation. But the Sobrante Park environment breed Gangsta's, Hustlers, D-Boys & Addicts. The gangsta route led to Juvenile Hall and Court ordered placements in group homes and foster care until 18. By 21 I was investing all of the street money I was making into studio equipment &  securing the label.

By 22 I was serving a 20 year sentence in California State Prison for 187/664. In April of 2022 I was able to secure my own freedom after 12 years of cell time by simply educating myself and applying the info.
